The Cost of Travel
Planned ParenthoodAbortion bans have plunged countless individuals into dire circumstances. For some, the financial strain of out-of-state travel renders abortion care unattainable, leaving them trapped in unwanted pregnancies. Others resort to self-managing their abortions, navigating outside the medical system. Many are left with no choice but to embark on costly and exhausting journeys spanning hundreds or even thousands of miles to access the care they urgently require.
I animated two explainer videos about the heavy burden that abortion bans place on people. I then converted the videos into Spanish, creating four videos in all.
